South Coast REC Strategic Plan launched

Sep 8, 2014

All nine RECs are undergoing a major strategic planning initiative. The strategic plan for Sierra Foothill Research and Extension Center was published in February 2014. The strategic plan for South Coast Research and Extension Center has just been completed.

South Coast is the most urban of all the RECs and the first strategic direction, “Address Critical Issues in Urban Settings, Agriculture, and Natural Environments,” seeks to broaden the reach of the REC in urban agriculture and environmental horticulture while ensuring research needs continue to be met. Enhancing visibility of the REC's research and extension programs through expanded communication, education and outreach is also a major priority.

We invite you to download the SCREC Strategic Plan and explore in more detail the goals associated with the SCREC's three strategic directions.
